surprise! a post.
yesterday morning i mowed the whole yard and trimmed the weeds. blech. another reason to hate spring and summer. then julie and i watched several episodes of family guy (we'll get it back to you eventually doug). i figured with the new episodes beginning on may 1st, we ought to finish up the original series or whatever so we can watch the new stuff.
then julie's parents came up yesterday afternoon; julie, trish, and their mom went to the opry to sit on stage while dolly parton and others performed. me and julie's pop went to great escape and grimey's to shop around. i got return to castle wolfenstein for 2:50 from great escape. from grimey's i got a dalek cd (i'll upload that to you later doug), outrospective/reperspective from faithless, and another of the limited edition sub rosa live sessions (this one with charles hayward, david shea, and nus). great escape is a great place to get computer games though. i got the old blade runner game from westwood studios there a few weeks ago for 2.00. i don't even had time to play these games; i still haven't played two of the games julie got me for my birthday last year.
on april 4th julie and i went to see tori in atlanta. we took off the last half of monday and went in to work the last half of tuesday. but we went through buckhead (which julie kept calling bucksnort and buckethead) to eat at the cheesecake factory. it was pretty good; the salad i got was basically a larger and more intircate version of the salad i usually get at green hills grill. the show was very good; our seats were up in the _second_ balcony of this place, but we were on the second row so it was still a good perspective. better than the row W tickets that first came up when i was buying the tickets. also, with the advent of me owning a dvd burner, me learning how to use bittorrent clients, and ppl recording every bloody tori concert i've decided to download every concert of this tour and burn them off to dvd-rws as i acquire them. i also have downloaded and burned off the entire hartford, ct concert video. mmmm, technology.
speaking of bittorrent and downloading, i've been downloading movies and more importantly the new doctor who (which no network here is showing for some incomprehendable reason whatsoever). the show rocks and even julie likes it. or maybe she's just pacifying me.
going back to concert news, a few months ago julie and i went to see mc chris here in nashville. it was at some hole in the wall called 'kung fu coffee'. yeah. well it was a great show (except that punk opening act). possibly the best part was when this guy who had been a bit of a prick during the opening acts also (yelling, screaming stupid shit, heckling, etc) got under mc chris' nerves. chris started heckling him back, and then had him kicked out. what made it exponentially more amusing was that chris had the whole audience chanting 'get the fuck out!' while security was walking the doofus out.
job is still going pretty much the same. our manager was put in charge of another branch of tech support in our building a few months ago. so he had the idea of moving them down with us so there could be some mingling there and eventually crosstraining and interoperability between the two groups. made sense to me. well that finally came to fruiition this week. only problem was our limited space there, so me and the other two supervisors got moved to some new cubes which were smaller than our previous ones, but a bit more private...well at least more conducive to getting work done. i volunteered myself to move into one of the cubes; i didn't care about the size or what others thought. just whatever gets the final goal in place. but annoyingly enough, there are those that seem to equate job importance to the size of your cube/office and keep commenting on how we agreed to move to the smaller cubes etc etc. stupid.
julie and i are trying to figure out what to do for our anniversary this year. she's wanting to go to louisville, ky and go to mammoth caves among other things going on around then. *shrug* seems kinda silly, but then i never understood why she got so attatched to going to maine. i was the one that wanted to go there. oh well.
