last week was the first week in the new work location and sorta new position. it's a bit different and i'm trying to catch up with everything that's going on with this group, how to manage it, and what's expected of me.
granny came home saturday. her heart rate is still irregular sometimes, but she seems to be doing fairly well. she's staying with mom and pop until she can be on her own. we stopped by and saw her and my parents quickly saturday night after going to julie's family's easter shindig. we also visited julie's granny as well. here's the photos i took. also, you may notice i upgraded my flickr account. i got tired of not being able to have sets for each batch i uploaded, and the final straw was last night when i realized i could only store 200 viewable pictures on the free account.
something i've oddly not posted about is that i've done rather well at losing some weight. i switched scales halfway through this process as i was uncertain of how accurate my old scales were. so this has led to a 2lb differential in what i use to think of as my weight and how it currently reads. but friday i was down to 146 on the 'old scale settings' but 148 on the new scale. at my lowest several years ago i went between 143-147, so i'm back to where i was. i started trying to watch myself last oct, but of course that's impossible over halloween/thanksgiving/christmas. so it wasn't till january or later when i started losing weight and keeping it off. i lost about 20lbs. i'd still like to lose more, but i'm just glad to have shed those pounds so i can go back to feeling semi-comfortable about tucking shirts in during spring/summer. i'd forgotten that at this weight the veins in my arms were much more visible and that i even had a bit of a sunken cheekline.
