an update with no photos.
pop called me friday around lunch time at work and told me that granny appeared to have had a heart attack and she was in the local hospital. a quick test showed she needed further attention so they flew her to st thomas here. a few more quick tests showed she'd need to rest up a bit and have a double by pass surgery on mon or tues.
julie and i went to see her fri night. my parents are staying here with us in the guest bedroom, which is coming in very handy in this not-so-great situation to use it. went back to sparta yesterday with my parents so they could get some clothes and supplies to stay the week, or however long they need to. went to see granny again sat night and she seemed to be doing much better. sitting up in bed and telling us stories and what happened exactly.
the doc there told the family she'd have a 95% survival rate from the surgery, but if she'd been a few mins later getting to the local hospital friday morning then she wouldn't have made it at all.

all of that was added on to the already present stress i had over having to decide on taking another supervisor position within the company. my group isn't going away, but all the facts seemed very veiled and mysterious until i was finally able to ask my would-be new manager and his boss some direct questions. i think my current group will wind up coming back under me and will be absorbed into the group i'm moving over now. at least that's my conspiracy theory for now.

other than those bits of drama, it's all about the same.
