not alot been going on recently. just planning on the move soon, which is starting to become stressful. when you're as perfectionist and anal as i am, something like moving is just monumental. like i think about the exact day the cable/phone/elec has to be cut over, and when the fridge can be delivered etc. oh, and speaking of which, we bought a fridge yesterday at best buy. but let me digress for a second.
yesterday was my 29th birthday. my last birthday of the 20s. what did stink is that i've had a mild flu/cold since the middle of last wed. i stayed out of work on thurs and fri. i was still a little down yesterday, but not too bad. to start the day off julie made me some ham, biscuits, and eggs for breakfast. she also made my birthday cake which was the very tasty coconut/chocolate cake she's made before for valentine's a while back. we got some pics of it last night, but i've not had a chance to pull them off the camera yet. after that she gave me my presents, which i'm just going to put in a big list at the end of this post with all the other stuff i got. then we cleaned up and my parents came up. we went to best buy and i showed them the fridge we were looking at and they thought it looked fine so with their blessing we went ahead and purchased that one; scheduled delivery on dec 11th. then we went to tgif's for lunch; i wasn't hungry because of the breakfast and being sick so i didn't eat. then we shopped around the mall for a while; oh and i got a zippo lighter, but only because some guy left it behind in his chair outside one of the stores. then we went over to media play to show my parents some cd racks we were looking at and they got me another thing or two there. after that we came back home and talked for a while and then they headed on out as julie had planned a gathering here for a 'party'.
so very shortly after they left doug showed up, then erin and later on trish and ed, and lastly malachi. we had some potato casserole that doug made, some mac n cheese and baked beans, and erin brought some brie and bread and crackers. we watched some of doug's sealab 2021 dvds, then we watched elf which erin had brought over. after that we just sat around and talked and then they all played some games malachi had brought over. and that was that.
even though i was sick it was one of the better birthdays i've had in recent history.
