well i started to begin with the usual line of 'nothing big this week', but then i remembered that i went to amy's b-day party tues night. her man jeremy set up this whole day for her to find scavenger hunt clues, and have a surprise party/dinner at pf chang's with all her friends there. we had a good time, and came close to blowing our cover as we almost walked right into amy while killing time at border's before dinner. friday night we hung out with erin; ate at camino real as usual, shopped at target for a bit, and julie and erin watched uhf while i played on the computer. i wasn't up for uhf really for some reason.
saturday morning julie and i was trying to sleep in, but her mother called at 8.30, then my father called about 9 or 9.30. we just snuggled for a bit, then fixed some pasta with veggies for an early lunch. and ate some of my groom's cake. julie kinda kept coming up with little bits of plans of things to do for the day...so i finally had to break my surprise to her. i told her we'd have to drive somewhere to get to her present. she seemed relatively taken back by this. later i told her to pack a bag as it may take a while to get back. this intrigued her. so we doddle around the apt for a while longer and get things ready to go. we head out finally and make our way to spring hill where i'd reserved us a room for the night at this little bed and breakfast. julie seemed to be very happy about this. and we got a bit lucky as i'd reserved 'the green room' but the cats who were suppose to be in 'the red room' had cancelled for some reason, so the lady who owned the place moved us over there. and we had the place to ourselves that way also. we dropped our bags and julie wanted to go for a walk; so we did and amazingly this little playground was pretty close to us. so we goofed around there for a while, but there were no functioning swings and this made julie sad. but we walked further up into town and shopped around at one little antique store, but it was getting darker (and colder) so we walked back to our room. we laid around for a bit and talked about future stuff, and napped a bit. at 5 we decided to go for supper, and oddly enough the lady that owned the b&b owned a restaurant in town too. just a meat n three/dinner type place. so we decided to go there as there wasn't much else to choose from in the town. it was pretty good food, but i just wish it had been something a little more romantic. after dinner we went back to our place and ate some cake. and if you want to know what else went on, you'll have to pay me. sunday morning we had breakfast at 8am (made by the owner) which was very tasty. we talked to her for a while then went back up to our room to let the food settle and just rest and enjoy it all. it was sleeting a little while we talked, but nothing was sticking seemed to quit several times. 'bout 45 mins or an hour later the lady knocks on our door and hands me her cell phone. says it's for me. it's pop and he asks if i've looked out the window...i'm thinking 'what for' but when i look out there's an inch of snow on the ground. !!! so we pack up pretty quickly, sign the bill, thank the nice lady, and get in the car to get back here. it's at this point i wish i'd have been practical and driven the subaru instead of wanting to listen to romantic cds which i can only play in the bimmer (subaru only has a tape deck). so we head out and it's pretty nasty shit till we get to franklin. one jeep cherokee spun onto the highway from an off ramp infront of me, but it was nothing uh...close to a crash for either of us. i was only going 30 or so till we got to franklin. it was just bad. but we get back to the apt and it's kinda sleeting, but not doing so much...and as of now there isn't a single flake on the ground. pop says they have 4 inches on the deck rail at home, and he figures it's deeper than that in some places. but anyway, i do believe other than the drive this morning, this was the best valentine's i've ever had.
this afternoon we watched minority report. it was alright. kinda weak and derivative; and i felt it could have been better in hands other than speilberg's. and if tom cruise hadn't of been in it.
