i actually did some things this week and haven't even posted about them yet. mon night julie and i met up with erin and misty at the spaghetti factory on 2nd ave and had supper with them as it was erin's birthday. we all had a pretty good time, but that was all we did. tues night julie and i met up with amy and jeremy at house of kabob for supper; again a good time was had and amy and i caught up on a few things. amy and jeremy had never been to house of kabob and fortunately they seemed to like it very much. that or their pretty good liars. but considering amy nearly wiped her plate clean i'm guessing she told the truth. um, wed and thurs night were just spent around the house. ..and so was fri night come to think of it. but yesterday julie's father came up to nashville and we picked him and trish up at trish's house and went to the frist center to see the impressionist show that was just opening up. they had some pretty impressive pieces there. and i've been to museums before (well, at least twice anyway) but seeing these paintings that you see on tv or as prints all the time was just really weird. to know that is the _real_ painting that picasso made with his own hands...just hanging there right in front of you. of course security was pretty thick. as was the crowd. anyway after that we were going to eat at pf chang's but getting there was an adventure. there was apparently a vandy/ky game either just starting or letting out so we were caught in traffic right at the light to turn in to pf chang's for 10 or 15 mins. then when we finally get in there, it's a 1 hr wait. fuck that! so we went right over to great escape and ate at noshville first, then did some shopping at great escape. i thought i'd actually found some stuff i might buy, but upon listening to the selections, they all sucked. then we decided to go to grimey's..which depending on how you look at it was a bit of a mistake. i bought 4 cds (shea/rimbaud/hampson - live sessions, scanner/shea/main- live sessions, cevin key - the dragon experience, and fantomas - delerium cordia) and julie bought the new swan dive. there was another kid 606 cd that i wanted to get...and two other scanner cds i would have liked to have listened to...but our total bill was already going to be $70, so i called it stops there. i'm glad i got the first two cds though; i passed them up some months ago and kinda regretted it ever since. moreso since they're limited to 1200 copies for one of them, and 2000 for the other. um, after that we dropped her father off at trish's then stayed around there for a bit and wound up borrowing a bunch of movies from them. we went by wal mart after that so we wouldn't have to leave the house today, then watched x-men 2 till about midnight. it was pretty good. seemed short and/or like i wanted to see more..so i guess that's a good thing.
