fri night we packed up some stuff, ate some quick supper here at the apt, and headed out to sparta. we stopped at rose's for some candy though. didn't get home till about 9pm, so we just talked to pop for a bit and went on to bed. sat morning pop had the oil changed in the wagone, then mom, pop, and i went shopping for julie in cookeville. can't say much about that here now, as julie might actually read it. oh, but i did pick out 4 sweaters for myself; mom went ahead and got them for me for xmas since she knew that's what i wanted and needed, but couldn't pick anything out for me. um, so after shopping (and after she got ready to leave her family shindig) we met up at lowe's in cookeville to pick out xmas tree. i was surprised to see they still had quite a few left and in most of them looked pretty good. after that we went home and sat around there for a bit, then we all went down to mcminnville and ate supper, shopped around the mall, then went shopping at wal-mart for pop. we made him go out to the car so we could get what we needed to for him. after that we pulled out some xmas decorations and ornaments for our tree to take home, but didn't have time to look through it all. sun morning we fixed some breakfast, went through the ornaments, i went to wal mart with pop to get a wiper blade for the wagon and to finally test drive the thing after the axle and wheel bearing had been replaced. drives like a champ and i love it. wagons rock. um, shortly after that pop had to leave to go fix this lady's computer so we packed the stuff up and headed on home. got the tree trimmed up and put in it's stand. i forgot how much trouble that part can be, as this is a fresh cut tree. for the past few years my parents have just bought a balled tree and stuck it in a large bucket. anyway we got that up and did our usual shopping at wal mart. we watched a bit more firefly this afternoon and tonight.
pretty weird to stop and think that julie and i are out all of next week for xmas. and i'm looking forward to tuesday. i was afraid i was going to come down this flu everyone is getting as i had some symptoms on thurs/fri/sat but i seem to be doing ok today. hope that holds out. feeling like the walking dead for a 12 hour movie marathon would just be torture at that point.
