the tail end of last week was fairly non-exciting. friday night i don't think julie and i did anything. well, julie dropped a pizza she was making on the oven door as she was putting it back in the oven. amazingly it wasn't too hard to clean up the next day. saturday julie went to work till noon; i sat around and worked on the beos machine a bit, and did some house cleaning. oh, and while doing said cleaning i noticed two bowls on our deck in the outer corner. one had cat food, the other water. i'm like WTF? so i take the cat food one in and toss the food in the garbage can; i fling the water out in the yard and put both bowls on a bush by the deck. well, this morning we get a letter on our door from some neighbor saying that she's sorry if she bothered us, but she uses our deck to feed stray cats and catch them so she can have them spayed or whatever and given to good homes. how fucking bizarre is that? she said if it was ok, she'd continue to do so, but if we had issues to call her and let her know. *sigh* i can't say that i'm keen on kitties on my deck, but she said she only leaves the food out during the day...so whatever i guess. anyway, when juile got home from work sat we went to get the floormats i ordered for her from the office and to vacuum her car out so we could put the mats in. i'm fairly pleased with the mats. i like the one on the passenger side better; seems like the driver's one should go further up behind the pedals to provide more coverage. but they match and fit rather well. um, then we went to see ed and trish for a little bit; we talked to them about different stuff, then went over to wal-mart. i knew it'd be crowded, but we were bored and needed to get some groceries anyway. so we pilfered around in there for a bit. it's laid out a bit different than most other wal-marts i've been in, but it's still pretty much a wal-mart. so we got some grub and came back home. and since i can't go 2 days without getting a headache, i got one coming home from wal-mart. i think the crowd got to me. so anyway, we got back here and fixed a little supper, and watched tv i think. oh, and i fooled with the beos machine more. finally got the networking part working, but it's buggy as hell. sunday we did some house cleaning stuff and laid around all day. made a pretty darn good lunch; country ham, biscuits, sweet taters, cream corn, and green beans. we had leftover sweet taters with some more biscuits and ham for supper.
work is getting a little, well it seems futile. i work at least an hour of overtime most everyday, and i'm still behind on my work. we're just too busy for the ppl we've got. it's some serious growing pains, with some ppl not fully trained well enough yet, and other ppl being pulled into other departmental projects and stuff. but i'm busting my hump trying to keep and make a small difference, at least with the stuff on my plate, and i don't feel that anyone gives a shit.
