never rains but it pours. monday afternoon a headhunter from computer professionals called asking if she could send my resume to o'charley's for a helpdesk position. i told her of my current offer, but to go ahead and send it on. she called back just a few hours later saying they wanted to interview me. which is very rare that you hear back on something so quick. so i went to that interview tuesday. they hardly have what one could even call a helpdesk at this point. it's two ppl. and technically one of them is part time, but he mostly works weekends. but the job itself sounded ok, and the pay range is a bit closer to what i would want. i told them of my situation and they said they'd have a decision to me by thurs or fri at the latest. but medifax wants me to start next monday, and i'm not sure how long they're willing to wait for my answer. they called me yesterday morning asking where i stood at this point. oh, and avega called back and said that there was some sort of reorg or something going on in that dept, and it'd be 2 weeks before anything could move forward with that position. so that pretty much puts it out of the immediate running. i really hope i hear something from o'charley's tomorrow. whatever the answer. i don't think medifax enjoys waiting around for my answer. i fear they'll revoke the offer i if i wait too long.
um, oh i forgot to mention that i downloaded the new radiohead album sunday night. supposedly it's not the final mix of the album, but i imagine this is pretty much what it's gonna sound like. i think i'll like it. just gonna take some time to absorb it. even though i've been trying to listen to the live tracks for year now.
