friday night i went to cookeville and met up with shannon first. jody was there very shortly after and i wound up getting a 19" monitor from them...well where they work actually. supposedly the monitor was messed up, which they showed me. but turns out i fixed it after i got it home, so *yea* me. but william got there after a bit and we ate at o'charley's, stopped by bill's for a bit, then watched bulletproof monk. it was an alright movie..at least with me and jody there making fun of it. it was sorta late after the movie, so we all went on home. saturday i hooked up with julie for the easter shindig. somehow she'd suckered poor erin to come along and spend the night with her friday night and stay for the shindig. but that went alright i guess. unhooked the torque converter from juile's engine and followed her back to my house to make sure everying was ok. it was not. doing so had killed most of the car's power. pop came down to look at it and said the valves were burned and it'd cost 5-7 hundred dollars to fix. good thing this just the loaner buick from her mom. hopefully it can at least last till we've got juile her own car. it should be able to. oh, but while hooking the torque converter back up i got a nice burn on my left hand. engine hot, make skin go sizzle. nothing too bad really. um, after that me and pop ran around to find him a computer desk for the upstairs bedroom, which i mostly put together for him. and that felt good. sun we finished building the desk and went on to see granny tobitt. after that i stopped in the boro to see juile for a bit and came on home. finally got my laptop ram monday night. made a world of difference with it.
monday and today at work kinda sucked. the pressure is on to take more calls than i was taking last week. and i found out today that the era/autopost project i was assigned to has been delayed. something about medicare requiring reregistration of all these providers for hippa compliance...or something. and this project has to take the first backseat behind that, cause it can't even get done without the reregistration part. *bleh* so i'm back to full time phone monkey status i guess. .. i need to learn to adjust my additude. about work at least. just after the past two days, i can already tell i'm crankier when i get home. i can tell by the curse word ratio of my sentences.
i reckon i'm gonna run back by lowe's tomorrow night and purchase that washer/dryer and try to have it delivered here this saturday. i really hope they don't fuck my apt up getting them in here. and i hope they don't do like they did old amy's dryer and hook it up wrong. she said the thing caught on fire and burned the cord to nothing but ash.
um, seems like there were a few other small things i was going to mention, but i can't think of them, and don't really feel like pondering about it.
