friday i sat around most of the day waiting to hear from julie, which didn't happen till much later than i thought it would. i went on to m'boro and she and i sort of celebrated the new job by eating at front porch cafe. i ate too much. as i knew i would. but it was all so good. we rented _pete's meteor_ after supper and watched it. it was uh..not that great. very messy story that just slid all over the place with no real solid backbone. saturday i got my hair cut and played dnd with the guys. we stayed up _way_ too late and all because we found a very large chest made of mitheral. i tried explaining the scenario to juile, and it dumbfounded her. and made me sound supar geeky. sunday i came home kinda early since it was storming and suppose to get worse as the day went on. sunday night i just sat around and waited for teh joarb!! my tummy was upset though so i didn't sleep so well. and the siamese cat outside at 4.30am didn't help much either. i don't know if it was fucking, fighting, or both. made me wish i had a bat cause i'm pretty sure i could have reached it from my window. little fucker. but uh, the went ok i guess. usual first day training type stuff. sitting around and shit. the guy is the 'lead' there, his name is femi. i think he's jamaican. he's only been there 4 months. ..and he's the lead. not that much comes along with that title i guess really, but just kinda weird. especially considering he said he didn't have a computer or phone for his first month there... another new guy started today too. joe. ..that ought to make things real fucking fun. got a big ass headache (which was really continuing from sunday) around lunch. that was fun too. overhearing some of the other ppl on the phone..i realized how not exactly help desk it was at medibuy, and how i'll definitely not like certain parts of this job. the part where i deal with stupid ppl. and when they let their inner asshole come out. ...ew
won some ram (32mb chip) for my laptop off ebay last night. and amazingly enough i won it without sniping it. wonders never cease.
i'm really gonna have to get use to feeling like i have no fucking time for anything once i get home.
oh, and julie's granny is fine. it wasn't a blockage, but a narrowing of the veins or something. and kinda far out from the heart so no big danger. they upped her dosage on some pills, and gave her another med to take. her daughter-in-law (not julie's mom) will monitor her blood pressure for the next two weeks and if all goes well, then nothing else will need to be done.
