friday i picked julie up and we went through mcminnville to get her ring, but as she mentioned it wasn't quite ready yet. i took her to her parent's house that afternoon after we did some furniture shopping in mcminnville. we're looking for an entertainment center to put in the bedroom. anyway, that night my parents and i went to smithville and shopped around at pamida there. sat we went all over creation looking for entertainment centers. but first we took julie's explorer...which is now my father's, to a junkyard where the engine will be swapped out with another and some other work done to it. found what i wanted at badcock's furniture (which erin will remember...maybe) and then we went on to cookeville and found shit all. also, my pop gave me a Dell P150 laptop since i told him i'd been entertaining the idea of having one for the living room. it needs some ram and a pcmcia nic, but i've got a nic on order and should be here soon. speaking of which the mobo i won off ebay is dead. which fucking sucks. so now i have a $16 doorstop and a still half-broken computer. bleh um, sunday me and my parents just sat around and went out to get some stuff to make sandwiches for lunch. julie came by sunday night after the concert and wound up crashing here. ...like i didn't see that coming. my interview monday (with medifax) went well. the lady (manager) seemed nice, and the job sounded like it'd be decent at least. but at the end she asked what i was making at my last job and i told her. she said they start out at $13/hr, which is quite a bit lower than what i was making. ...so i dunno. she asked if i still wanted to come back for the second interview...that maybe they could work that up a bit, but not to my previous salary. *sigh* still suppose to interview with aveega on thurs. and cleartrack wanted a copy of my college transcript. how odd is that? i've never had a place ask for that during the interview process. or at all actually.
i need to see mal sometime this week. kimberly is in east tn, and he and i both have some things we need to trade with each other.
this weekend is a bit of a mess. after the uh, last (and first) lunch/dinner thing my parents and julie's parents and granny had together, julie's granny had been wanting to have my parents up for lunch or something at her place. which my parents were fine with. except they didn't want her cooking really; they figured they'd just pick her up and we'd go out somewhere. well her granny started planning to have other ppl over. and then other ppl heard about it and wanted to come over. so now it's this tremendous hoot-nanny type thing. and my mother isn't keen on it at all. in fact, she says she's not going. which i got to try and explain to julie's granny just now. did i mention her feelings are hurt rather easily. *sigh* not sure if pop will go by himself (with us i mean though) or not. was gonna try to have the bimmer worked on too since i've got time off now. so i don't know how it's all gonna play out.
