again, i start out by saying the interview went alright i believe. the cto seemed to like the questions i asked, and i think he was pleased with my answers. but i won't hear anything till the new client fully signs on..otherwise, there'd be no job for me to do. after the interview i wasn't really sure what i was going to do for the weekend. juile and i needed to get some things done, but she was going to be kinda busy and didn't know how much free time she'd have. i'd been meaning to see doug for a while and had missed seeing him last weekend, so i thought i'd just hang out with him for the whole weekend. so with very short notice, i head out to huntsville around 3.30pm on friday. found his place pretty easily...had more issues in shelbyville than anything. but fri night we ate out at a thai place and watched the first few episodes of season one of twin peaks. i took my dvd player since he's not got cable, and it'd cost a small fortune to rent enough movies to last through sunday. sat morning we finished up season one of twin peaks and went out so he could get fitted for his tux. also we stopped by what was suppose to be a cd store, but they only had vinyl and skateboard stuff. was kinda neat though. and i think doug was putting the moves on the cute chick at the register. i also think he needs to get his ass back there and put some more moves on her. anyway, we got back from that and he made some jambalaya adding in some of his own stuff, and we fixed a box of couscous i'd brought along just to go with it. we watched the godfather, then went out again so he could get something fattening to snack on and to go cd shopping. i got two cds (lush - split and add n to x - avant hard). i also got the sixth season of x-files for $55. new. which is bloody amazing since one is lucky to find them for $100 during the first week of release. doug got some cds too, but i can't remember. heh, we got a little heath topped cheescake and went back to his place and watched the godfather part II. then we talked a bit late into the night as we always tend to do, and then crashed. sunday morning we watched the godfather III, and then went out for mexican. but the place was closed, so we went a little further and ate at a indian place with was quite tasty. we sat around for a bit after that and yakked, then i left. saw juile coming back through m'boro for a bit, then came on home. but, while coming home i was listening to the lush cd. now, there's this levi's commercial where a chick breaks into a chop shop and steals her car back, but you don't know it's her car till the end of the commercial. anyway, i kinda liked the song during that commercial and had meant to try and look up who it was, but had never gotten around to it. well track 8 on this lush cd _is_ that song. and it blew my mind when i figured that out, cause at first i was like 'this song sounds cool', then it was, 'hey, this sounds familiar', then i was like, 'holy fucking shit! it's that song!' i'd kinda of heard of lush, but didn't know anything much about them and just picked up the cd sat night cause it was cheap. i listened to the first four tracks in the store, but didn't make it to that song obviously. just really fucking weird.
but today had been rather quiet. haven't had an email, an icq, or phone call from anyone. was hoping to hear from katy about the interview from friday, but nothing.
i'm suppose to go help old amy finish moving out of her apt this afternoon and mostly help her move the computer and hook it back up at her new place.
