tuesday afternoon erin called me up and asked if i'd help her put together a bed and chester she had just bought. so i went over there and helped her with that most of the afternoon; misty fixed some toffee bars or something...i can't remember exactly now but they were good. then erin wanted to take me out for supper to pay me back, so we went..well we finally wound up at a drive thru place called pasghetti's. it took us awhile to figure out where we were going to to eat. we went back to erin/misty's and ate, watched real worl/osbornes, and i stuck around for a bit after that and left. i don't really remember anything about wed or thurs. i think i just sat around here mostly doing shit-all. friday i got up and did a few things around here, and then left out to pick up julie and to go on home for the weekend. that night pop, me, and julie picked mom up from work and ate out at gondola in cookeville. it was pretty good, but the cheese on my chicken melt had something goofy in it which gave me some nasty breath. anyway, saturday we got up and went to see lou about our wedding cakes. julie said she mostly had her stuff figured out, and we'd mostly just need to talk about the groom's cake. ... yeah. right. but we got it all sussed out i believe. mostly anyway. and then we ran by paige's to get my hair cut. *yea* we ate at mcalistar's and tinkered in eckerd and compact discovery for a bit as we had some time to kill before getting engagement picture taken. i got some candy at eckerd that i hadn't seen/had since i was a little kid, so that was cool. anyway, we get our pics taken, and head back to sparta to pick up our junk, and head on back to nashville. i drop julie off at mtsu in her explorer and we come to hickory hollow and go to target to get erin a b-day present for her party that night. except they didn't have what juile wanted to get her anymore. so we go to toys 'r us; they don't got it either. oh well. after a bit we go on to erin/misty's and then molly/derrick show up, so we go out to eat at some place that i can't think of the name of now. it was an italian place, and the first i've ever seen to offer polenta dishes. so i got one with chicken, and it was quite tasty. when we were all done we went back to misty/erin's and played the uh, j20th anniversary edition of trivial pursuit. for a while anyway. then misty got a little sloshed and we all left around 1am. julie stayed over sun night obviously, and sunday we piddled around here for a while but we did order invitations. then we went to camino real for lunch and stopped by party city and garden ridge to looking for various wedding type things. then, much to my dismay, julie went home. so i sat around here with fuck all to do. i actually had the superbowl on after it was an hour into it. commercials seemed pretty lame.
and something else i left out of the above recital of events...i got a call/email (can't remember) sometime early last week from teksystems about the edi position. one of the guys at the place actually hiring (cleartrack) wants to call me on the 27th (today). he tells me it'll be an informal yet technical oriented call. nothing more than a 'formality' he tells me, as he thinks i'll be a shoe-in once i get there. i should be very excited by this, but i still don't know how i feel about taking this position...and then it gets more complicated. friday, before i left out of here, i emailed the lady at webmd for any news on the computer operator position. she replys back, says it's open, and it has the hours of sun-tues, 9am-7pm. ...i thought it was suppose to be third shift. granted, that's a bit better than third shift, but working on the weekends? but not to get ahead of myself, she also said the pay was in the low-mid 30s. that'd be a good bit lower than what i'm use to. but i told her i'd like to interview for it, and i'm suppose to go for that this wed. SO do i want to take a position that doesn't really relate to what i've done, or want to do (edi/contract), and will more than likely have me looking for a job again in apirl/may, or take a job that has sucky hours, sucky pay, and would keep me from seeing julie after we're married. and i keep hearing that webmd doesn't seem too solid these days. ...so i dunno
oh, and i'm finally receiving mailbox money again, and i got a fucking jury summons in the mail yesterday. but i think it's a different uh, circuit, or level than i had to go to last time. ugh! it says it's for march 10th...and this one only pays 10 bucks a day. stupid fucking civic duty.
