um, yeah so wed night julie and i met up with erin and molly at sitar for supper. sadly, erin had just gotten into a boo-boo before coming there. bruised her car up a bit. but i think we did an ok job of trying to cheer her up. i felt bad cause i don't think she liked indian; she'd never had it before. she was cracking me up while going over the menu though. after supper julie and i came back here and she read me the first 4 chapters of the uh, third harry potter book. it's got a word in the title i don't know how to spell, so from here on out it will be 'the third harry potter book'. also i finally got my cable modem wed night. so after julie left i hooked it up. had some issues at first cause it wouldn't get a signal, then i read the manual _from the website_ and not the piece of shit paper that came with the modem. you have to leave it hooked up for up to 10 mins. so i did and it worked. huzzah. except my usual transfer rate with the old modem was around 2200kbps, and the new one was averaging 1000kbps. bleh.
today worked sucked. like it has all week. order volume has went up 500% since i've started there and apparently it's not dawned on anyone to, oh i dunno, perhaps buy another server to process all this shit. *ugh* so yeah i get home this afternoon and call comcast support and have them scan my modem or some shit. it actually seemed to be slower (according to dslreports). but it seemed to get decent rates on other sites, though not the rates it had before. *sigh* then i went out to have supper with mick. we ate at o'charley's and gabbed it up for some time.
tomorrow night i'll see julie and go on home. get my hair cut saturday. *yea* then see doug and william for a good bit.
oh, and here is some pix of the computer case me and pop have been working on. the paint looks a bit better in real life; my camera kinda wonks out with the metallic bits in the paint.
