something i observed yesterday while waiting to get my mvr...i was standing outside along with other ppl waiting to get in. there was a lady with a kid (both white; kid was 4-5) and another lady with a kid (both black; kid was about 3). both kids were girls. so the white kid has this baby doll; she hadn't wanted to play with it for the past 15 mins or so and the mother had been holding it. the black kid went up to to the white mother and kinda grabbed for the doll. so the white mother gave her the doll. she played with it for a bit and seemed content; just keeping to herself with it. a few mins later i hear the white mother saying to her kid, "but you didn't even want to play with it a few minutes ago." so apparently the white kid wanted the doll back. after a few more minutes the black mother took the doll and gave it back to the white mother. the black kid started crying immediately. guh. so after the black kid stops crying i notice the white playing with the doll in a...um, 'loud' manner. not in sound, but she was just making it very obvious that she had the doll. and she was looking at the black kid most of the time. defiantly. after we got into the office and were all sitting around waiting our turn, the white kid came around this corner/column..and while looking dead at the black kid was playing with the doll again. i really thought it was just bizarre to see that behaviour in a child so young. is that really human nature? or just her nature? or her parent's nature instilled wihin her? just odd.
oh, so i call about traffic school this morning. apparently putnam county doesn't 'recognize' traffic school. whatever the fuck that means. the quite snitty lady told me they did however recognize community service to keep speeding tickets off one's record. ...so i may be donning the orange attire and picking up some cans off the side of 111. *shrug* will have to figure that out later.
going to see amy tonight. and gonna see erin/misty/julie tomorrow night.
i've been getting a bit stressed lately by stuff i need to get done. like planning the honeymoon, finding a new apt, worrying over this ticket, and some other smaller things. and it seems like something is costing me everytime i turn around in the last month. new shaver, needed a new cdrw drive, water pump, labor for water pump, etc etc. seems like i don't have enough time and money is just slipping through when i need to be saving it. *sigh*
