i don't seem to be in so much of a journaling mood as of late. little more busy at work perhaps. not quite as bored in general. not having my main machine at home to be on all night....*shrug*
alright, what'd i do this weekend. friday night i went home, picked up julie, and we went to eat ethiopian. they'd added beets/potatoes to the vegetarian dish. beets..icky. taters were alright though. after that we stopped by this mexican bakery on the way home and i picked up some cheap chocolate cookies. and i think they called us gringos as we left. then i took julie on a detour to look at some land/houses sort of behind my apartment to see if she liked it back there. she seemed to like it fairly well. we got back home, watched some teevee, and called it a night. sat morning william gets there a bit earlier than we'd expected and so i take a shower while juile plays hostess to william. william and i head out to malachi's and julie takes a shower and goes on to see misty all day. william and i get to malachi's where doug had spent the night friday night. we schlub around for a bit and then head out to the NAMM show. same stuff as last time, but still pretty fun. and i'm really glad my flu symptoms weren't so strong, cause we come out of this one room and there's this fucking muppet walking down the way at us. and i stop and say, 'holy fucking shit. it's a muppet!'. had i been loopy on flu symptoms i might have really wigged out at this sight. anyway, we go back to malachi's place and go eat lunch at this mexican place called cinco de mayo. i ate too much. which unfortunately lead to me not eating much of anything the rest of the day. which sucked since they grilled out some chicken, and doug made all these marinades and shit. anyway, the plan was for doug and i to rent some of our choice selections of movies and everyone make fun and stuff. well, we were too lazy to go out i guess, and doug and i specifically didn't know where to go really...so that never happened. they grilled out, andy had come over with donnie darko, so we watch that and poor andy had to explain it to everyone like 5 times. well everyone being william and kimberly i guess really. i hadn't grasped all the finer points of the movie, but pretty much had it all sussed out from the first time i saw it. anyway we all left shortly after that and i had wiliam crash at my place. there was a julie in my bed when i got home though. sunday morning, william, julie, and i go to ihop for breakfast, come back to my place and watch shaolin soccer. it was funny. after that julie wanted to watch the last bit of angel season 2, so she kicked william out. julie and i watched angel for the rest of the day (except when we got take out from camino real and i had to go back cause they fucked up my order of tacos). she left around 9 and i went to bed shortly after 10.
i was hoping my last bit of computer stuff would get here today, as the fedex tracking site is showing that it's in nashville. but i don't think it's going to happen. : [ i guess that will give me time to go through the stuff malachi let me have/borrow, to prepare my case for the new stuff, and to read through some guides and read some more forums.
