dah, well let's see. friday night i went and saw julie and went on home after that. sat i got my haircut and hung out with doug. borrowed some games from him to install on the new machine. we hooked up shannon, then jody and went to eat at the foglight. shannon drove us, and i think driving that far when he planned on going to nashville on sunday kinda ticked him off. we got back and went over to shannon/jody's place to watch the brain that wouldn't die (mst3k). shannon seemed to perk back up after a bit of the movie. we watched some crap teevee after that and then i went home. sunday i ate out with my pop only as mom didn't feel like going out someplace; we ate at the uh, restaurant at rock island. left out a wee bit early and stopped by to see juile on the way home, then came on home around 10.
i'd wanted to get juile a copy of the lmtd ed indigo girls 'become you' from ebay friday night. but it was going to end while i was between m'boro and sparta; i could have left early to get back home, but i didn't want to see julie less...so it was a tough call. so i wound up just putting in my bid and hoping for the best when i left work friday night. that didn't work out so well. i was beaten by 50 cents. see doug...sniping is the _only_ way to go.
last night i came in and started installing games like mad. half life (opfor, cs, and blue shift when i get it from mal), soldier of fortune, and serious sam. played sof for a good while. forgot how gruesome it is. me likey. serious sam seemed to run for about 20 mins with no problem, but i just wasn't in the mood to play it any longer to test it's stability. speaking of which, the machine ran fine with no lock ups for hours last night. i go to bed, leave it on with only mail and icq running. wake up and it's locked up. i've got a few software/setting ideas i want to try, and if they don't work, i'm going to pull a spare cdrom and put in there (after i burn most/all of these game cds) to see if has any issues with another cdrom. if not...i guess i'll look around at getting another cdrw drive. if i do, i'm not sure what to do with this one, since it still mostly works. and is out of warranty of course.
next weekend is julie's b-day. gonna try and be nice and not complain about having to actually get out, see ppl, and be in the heat. i'm such a giving person.
