alright, so friday at work was slow and boring...but i'll take that. friday night juile and i had a picnic of sorts. she was on duty so we (well she anyway) couldn't leave the dorm. so we made some bean burgers, had some chips and some fruits for supper. we putzed around a bit outside after eating, then went back up to her room to...look at wedding invitations. *sigh* hoo boy that was a hoot. i told her to just narrow it down to a few and then i'll exercise veto power on the remaining few. saturday my parents and i went to cookeville for lunch at spankie's and pop drove around a bit looking for some computer shop. that afternoon doug came over to my place and we'd previously decided to watch a uh, certain subset of horror movies. i can never really find the phrase (a short one anyway) that explains this subset well, but it was essentially beasts of nature vs man kinda things. so, we got alligator, mosquito (which won out over skeeter), slugs, frogs. alligator was a bit..well none of these things were good, but alligator was not so much fun i guess you could say. mosquito was just bad. fun, but horrid acting. slugs was fucking awesome, and frogs was kinda slow (typical of 70's horror movies) but still pretty funny. sunday my parents and i went to lunch at this country buffet place in smithville. damn did they have some good food. you'd slap your granny for some more of their ham, and the yams were the best evar....though i'm beginning to feel the power of the yams today and thinking i shouldn't have eaten so many of them. anyway, after that i went on to m'boro and stopped to see julie again since she had her paper/homework done. we ran by mcalister's where she had supper, then doddled around hastings for a bit. i was hoping to find a cd, but came up empty handed. then we went back to her place and i finally caved in and watched harry potter with her. it's funny to watch stuff with her that she enjoys _this_ much. it's part of what got me addicted to buffy. the movie was pretty good i guess. i'd like to see the second one i suppose, but it's not enough to make me actually read. EW!
a good weekend no doubt, but it seems like the several weekends have just flown by. don't know if the 3 day weekend a while back has thrown me off for this long, or if i'm just settling back into that work mode where you feel like you do way too much time at work and not near enough time for yourself...or myself as the case may be.
next weekend will be helping abby and carl move. the move part will suck, but having everyone over here should be fun. sorta speaking of moving i got my new rent prices for my new lease over the weekend. 430 for a 12 month lease, or 440 for a 6 month lease. i'm thinking i may go with the 6 month and move to a 2 bedroom (or duplex even) either at the same complex or maybe at another location completely. moving in december will be fun; much moreso than july. bleh.
