well julie and i wound up seeing the man of lamancha. the sherlock thing was sold out; but even though i loathe musicals i had a good time. the food there was real good and the stage setup was really fruity. the room was a big square. three levels of tables sunk down to the bottom floor and the dessert and salad bar were at the bottom; the main buffet was up and off in an adjacent room. freaky thing was that after dinner was over they took the dessert/salad bar out and the performed the play at the bottom level while being surrounded on three sides by the audience. and by some odd stroke of luck julie and i were on the bottom level right in on the action. so that was cool. and it was a pretty (but long) drive over there and back.
saturday morning i still wasn't sure if my parents were gonna come over or not; at 9.45 they called and said they were on their way so i had to clean the apt up some before they got here. when they did get here pop and i replaced the fan clutch in my bimmer. oddly enough the replacement was made by the same company and was even the same part number. then we ate at ruby tuesday and i got some khakis at penney's for 19.99. then we went to a computer store (for pop) and baraka (for pop too i guess). he got a bunch of weird cookies and stuff as usual. then they left and i headed off to the lan party. it went pretty well i suppose. seemed like there wasn't a whole lot of game time. but i did get there a bit late and had some serious sam issues. again. *sigh* stupid updates. after browsing around it seems to be a common problem with ppl that the 1.05 patch broke SS again. *grumbles*
but i got home sun morning at 5 or so i guess and got to bed pretty quick. got up at 10.30 or so. really wished i could have slept later but i guess i don't want to waste my whole day. fiddled around with putting my computers back in place and dusting them out. then just piddled around the apt. which was kinda nice. haven't had a day to just sit around in a while.
it hailed some today. which made my asshole draw up to my ears looking out and seeing it bounce of the bimmer. but it was a little larger than pea sized, so i don't think it would have done too much damage. i hope.
