well i didn't sleep for shit last night. took me till 12.30 to get to sleep and i never got to a real deep sleep i don't think. had to shut off the computers because it was suppose to storm, so any bit of noise was much louder than i was use to.
anyway, work was ok i suppose. rather boring, as training tends to be. i think the job is a bit beneath me...and it feels odd to see myself type that. but it's more customer/order support than technical support. but it pays the bills (and better than my previous job at that) so i can't complain i guess. the other ppl there all seem to be a good 5 years older than me or more. deanna said they didn't seem to want to go anywhere else, whereas most ppl into computers always wanted to learn more and move on. heh, one of the internal web pages has 'all your base are belong to us' typed in as part of the logo at the top. i heard the other two ladies there today saying the wish they knew what that meant. .... *sigh* so i'm sure i'll have so much to share with these ppl. but it was really quiet there all day (as in noise level) which really threw me off for most of the day. and the workload seemed rather small, though deanna said it was a slow day. so i dunno... and i really don't know about this 9-6 thing. i got home around 6.30; by the time i got in, changed clothes and put a load in the washing machine, buffy was on. no night life at all like that.
oh! and on the way home, down 24 i was going 80-85 in the fast (left) lane. i was passing ppl, but not like a bat out of hell..just kinda going along a bit faster than the flow. in my rear view i see this cadilac swerving/darting/ducking/weaving between lanes and cars and just being rather stupid in general. he was in the far right lanes so i paid him no mind. half a minute later he's to the right of me; there's a honda crv thingee about car length ahead of me in the lane to my right...so it's ahead of the cadilac right? well it's two black guys in the caddy and the driver has his window down. he proceeds to speed up, stick his head out the window and looks back (for a good 5 seconds not looking where he's actually going) at the _barely_ car length space between me and the honda. with no blinker he cuts on over. and eh, i'm alright with it. whatever. i left off the gas a bit, but keep going on expecting him to zoom on as there's no one ahead of me for a couple of car lengths. but no. he slams on his brakes. and i don't mean tapped them hard. i mean he fucking stood on them. tires squealing, smoke rising. i slammed on my breaks and barked mine up a bit (and the mustang behind me had to slam on his too) and i guess since my car weighs less i never even got closer to him. he hit the gas again around 50 or 60 i guess and zoomed on up the road. the 'stang behind me whipped out and zoomed on up the road; i kinda looked over at him a bit (cause for some reason i didn't want him to be mad at me) and he didn't look/motion at me...so i'm hoping he saw the caddy was the problem. *sigh* but christ what a fucking retard. that was almost a 4 car pile up easy. and god knows how many more were behind the car behind the mustang. fuckin' a! and i didn't even _do_ anything!
dipshit
but now i sit here. rather tired and feeling less exicted about 9-6. but buffy was a good rerun (stupid hiatus) and there's still real world and the osbournes to look forward to.
god what a sad life.
